Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?

Find me on:

1 year of Firecracker for $180 through August.

At Firecracker, one of the goals of our product team is to release improvements to the platform as frequently as possible, with our ideal release cadence being every week or two. And rather than charge our users an additional fee for access to each new feature we improve or launch, we automatically grandfather all existing users into all new features. We figure since you committed to us, it’s the least we could do. So with that said, we’re excited to preview a few upcoming features which we’ll be launching this month.

More Resources in Firecracker

Wouldn’t it be cool if every time you reviewed a concept in Firecracker, you could immediately have the system pull the most recent and relevant external resources to help you learn the material in greater depth? Well soon, that’s exactly what you’ll be able to do (if you become a member before June 30th)! Using the US National Library of Medicine’s Medical Subject Headings (MeSH), Firecracker will soon be able to dynamically search for and import study materials from related resources for each of Firecracker’s core concepts. These resources will include YouTube videos, Wikipedia pages, UpToDate references, PubMed articles, and potentially so much more. Best yet, these resources will be accessible directly from each concept, much in the same way you currently access citations and notes.

Now every time you review a concept in Firecracker, our platform will pull up the most recent and relevant external resources from the US National Library of Medicine’s Medical Subject Headings and tag them straight to that concept in your account.

Check Yourself: Daily Study Timers

Wouldn’t it be cool if you could set a timer to help pace yourself and keep track of exactly how much time you had spent - or had available - to study that day? With the Daily Study Timer that we’re releasing this month, that’s exactly what you’ll be able to do:

Bring Your Study Group Online

Designed specifically to allow you to work alongside you friends and classmates – Firecracker Study Groups. The goal of these new Study Groups is to allow you to connect, study, and share motivation with one or a group of peers, all through a single in-app messaging interface. When we're live you can toggle on and start your own Study Group by going to your settings and scrolling down to the Firecracker Labs section. The messaging window will then appear in the bottom right hand corner of the web app.

That’s all for now, but if you have any other bright ideas, let us know in the comments below!
