This past weekend, I visited a coffee shop with my friend Matt. I defaulted to my usual latte but Matt, who really, really loves his coffee, ordered an espresso with milk on the side. We sat down, and Matt sipped some of the espresso before pouring the milk in.
Just moments later, the owner came up and offered Matt a cortado — an espresso cut with a small amount of warm milk — on the house. He explained, very kindly, that Matt hadn't poured the milk correctly and therefore didn't get as much enjoyment out of his coffee as he could have. The owner gave us a mini-lesson on the art and science of coffee, something he obviously cared very much about.
It was an amazing customer moment. No, even more than that — it was an amazing human moment.
It's times like this that remind me to think of ways I can experience these mini-moments every time Firecrackers use the site. I admire how much information you all strive to learn and remember, and I hope that I can contribute to making all that hard work a little easier and more enjoyable.
For the love of learning,
P.S. Feel free to share your fave customer moments with me on Twitter!
