Yes, we are having a sale. Also, a challenge.
We've rounded up some background information and best practices for using Firecracker for Clerkships.
So...we've almost made it to the end of 2017. It's been an interesting year, for everyone. Through December 31st, we're having our hoiday sale on Firecracker:
We hope you’re surviving (or have survived) finals season. You’re probably looking ahead to next semester as well. We know from conversations with students that they are using several resources to help them keep up with classes, boards and wards. It's that time of year for us too. Our end of year sale is here! Starting today, through December 24th we're offering the lowest possible rate on Firecracker:$150 for 1 year, $250 for two years.
Through tomorrow night you can subscribe to Firecracker MD or Firecracker DO for $180 for 1 year, $300 for 2 years, or $400 for 4 years. This includes, well, everything:
This Friday we released two new PDF books to members: SketchyMicro and Pathoma companions. Like our other textbooks, these are complete renderings of Firecracker’s SketchyMicro and Pathoma topic coverage, complete with images, tables and charts. Each chapter links back to the relevant topic inside Firecracker so that you can kick off a flash card or test-question session directly.
We're wrapping up our annual Back to School sale, for new students Firecracker is $300 for 2 years through Saturday at 8 p.m.
If you join now - this is what's on the immediate horizon for Firecracker. Coming to Firecracker in October:
Topics: Medical Education
Like most people we've been following the aftermath of the storm in Texas. Here are a couple organizations that are working on the recovery in Houston:
There’s a method to this. Medical school is a marathon rather than a sprint. If you’re taking your Step 1 exam this spring you know you need to begin serious study now so that you will be prepared when you start your dedicated prep period in a few months.
We've been tracking the Step 1 scores of Firecracker and non-Firecracker users for three years. Every year Firecracker users outperform non-users, and by an increasing margin. No other learning tool can claim this. Our most recent data shows Firecracker can raise Step 1 scores by 16 points - that can make all the difference in terms of the residency placement you’re able to achieve.
If you're a medical students your time is valuable, and limited.
Medical students we surveyed last year said they spent 30 hours a week, or more, studying. With classes, labs, and self-directed study all demanding their own time, it makes sense that medical students are at their maximum working capacity for most of medical school.
Firecracker can help you learn more with less studying.
