This morning, December 23, 2013, at approximately 6:45am EST, one of our database providers experienced a network outage that affected Firecracker. Their outage caused our site to be unresponsive for about 15 minutes while the redundant replica took over processing requests. Firecracker is back up and working, and we are addressing your support requests individually.
At Firecracker, we take these outages very seriously. We are taking steps to reduce the chance that this happens again. Over the next two days, everyone's account will be moved to a more redundant and resilient database server. We are also systematically reducing our dependence on this particular database provider.
