Our editorial team has spent the last few weeks going through First Aid 2017 and mapping its content to Firecracker. Now, our content for Step 1 is cited to the relevant page and page position in First Aid 2017. These citations join previously included citations for First Aid 2015, First Aid 2016, and Pathoma. All are intended to help you connect your Step 1 study materials so that your (limited!) prep time can be as efficient as possible.
Q: How do I access citations?
A: Next to topics on Firecracker, accessed via questions or study something specific, you will see a ‘c’—that means we have a citation for that bit of content. Click on it to see what is cited and where:
Q: Why do citations differ?
A: As you can see from the citations above, the content in FA is updated every year to keep pace with the USMLE Step 1, and this means that different pieces of content will be cited differently. Side note: we’re continually updating our content to stay current with the USMLE exams too.
Q: Are there any more citations coming?A: Not at the moment, but we’re always interested in adding more if students find it valuable. If you’re a student preparing for the Step 1, what materials would you like to see cited or linked to Firecracker?
